The Season of Remembrance
We held a lovely All Souls service at the end of October, when nearly 50 people, now gone on ahead but still dear to those at Brentor, were remembered and candles lit for each one – thanks to all.

Remembrance Sunday
was marked by about 70 people assembled at the war memorial in Brentor.   Individual poppies were laid for every name commemorated on the memorial in a most moving service – thanks to Peter Cameron for his work, to Hazel Butland
who led the service, and especially to all those who laid the poppies as the names were read out.

Advent and Christmas Please note that all church services are likely to be a little chilly as we make sure that there is good ventilation in the church – so if you are coming, wrap up warm, and for long- er services we suggest you bring a cushion and/or a blanket if it is very cold. Christmas is coming to Brentor! Come and sing carols and have cake afterwards at Christ Church with Wendy on Saturday 27th November at 2.30 – all welcome (even if you think you can’t sing!)

Carols by Candlelight Sunday 12th December at 6pm at Christ Church, all welcome to sing carols and enjoy mulled wine and mince pies afterwards. This was a wonderful service 2 years ago, and we are really looking forward to holding it again, with Wendy leading.

Nativity Service This year we are joining with Gulworthy church, for a service down at Morwellham (where there is a proper inn for THE inn!) on Sunday 19th December at 2.30pm, all welcome, costumes optional. David will be Herod, which should be good!

Christmas Day at St Michaels The 3pm carol service is back again, although depending on numbers it may be held outside, so dress accordingly – all very welcome .
