Next Parish Council Meeting
Monday 17th September 2018, 7.30pm
at Brentor Village Hall
Brentor Garden Club is presenting a talk by Barry Albrighton on Thursday 20th September, at 7.30pm in Brentor Village Hall
From rare insects to ancient tracks and mine shafts, the little known Bowden Down is home to a diverse number of wildlife species right on your doorstep.
It was the site of mining for manganese and ochre in the 19th and early 20th centuries and remains of these workings are still visible.
As well as offering a fine display of bluebells in the spring, there are cuckoos, deer, badgers, snakes, Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary butterflies and much more.
Visitors welcome, £2.00 on the door
Watch out for regular events at the Village Hall, such as….
