Brentor Village website began with a meeting of interested Brentor residents in August 2008, after two residents – John Wheeler and Alan Ray-Jones – said that they were willing to do the work needed to establish the site. This website was launched under the auspices of the Brentor Community Trust in April 2009, with Alan Ray-Jones as general editor.
In 2010 the general editorship passed to another Brentor resident, Colin Dawes, who currently manages the site. John Wheeler and Dave Calder provide free technical support.
In 2022 three additional news editors joined the editorial team when the website took on the role of providing all the village news following the cessation of the printed newsletter Brentor News.
This website is created using WordPress. The editorial team carries out regular updates to the site and some individual pages are updated by members of groups and clubs in the village.
In 2022 the responsibility for this website passed to Brentor Parish Council, following the demise of the Brentor Community Trust. Long-serving trustees retired and no replacements came forward, but fortunately the Parish Council was able to step in to preserve this website and the Brentor Living Archive.
If you have any questions about, or comments on, the website please telephone Colin Dawes, the general editor, on 01822 811079 or email at email@example.com.
Contributions for the website, such as photographs and information about events are always welcome!
