Brentor Village website began with a meeting of interested Brentor residents in August 2008, after two residents – John Wheeler and Alan Ray-Jones – said that they were willing to do the work needed to establish the site. John is a website developer in his professional life. Alan had previously created his family website and manages the Quaker website for Devon and Cornwall. This website was launched under the auspices of the Brentor Community Trust in April 2009, with Alan Ray-Jones as general editor.
After fifteen successful months its general editorship passed to another Brentor resident, Colin Dawes, who currently manages the site. John Wheeler continues to provide technical support.
This website is created using WordPress. The general editor carries out regular updates to the site and some individual pages are updated by members of groups and clubs in the village. He also provides support and training to these contributors.
